subject: Sedan, Suv Or A Crossover. Which One Will You Pick? [print this page]

"In todays World, the automobile industry is booming with an overwhelming choice of sedans, SUVs, MUVs and LUVs and its only normal for a person to compare the pros and cons of all these categories before actually purchasing the perfect vehicle for themselves.

So, keeping in mind some of the features I would look for in a car. I started looking for the perfect vehicle. I knew that a Sedan would offer safety, affordability, fuel efficiency and the seating for up to 4 or 5 people and that an SUV would offer comfort, power, style and theyre best for off road driving and spacious enough to seat up to 9 people. All though the SUVs seem like the better choice, I needed more. I was looking for a vehicle that would give me a little of both and finally, I found it! The Tata Aria by Tata Motors.

Through more research, I learnt a great deal more about the Tata Aria that really convinced me that its the perfect vehicle. The Aria is Indias first ever Crossover vehicle which means that it offers the looks and styling of a Sedan and the raw muscle, power and features of a full fledged SUV.

It has also introduced some absolutely new features to the Indian market like the ESP or Electronic Stability Program and the TCS or Traction Control system. The accessories and features like satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, USB/Aux-in-port, a reverse camera with parking sensors, six airbags and climate control stand out in comparison to any other sedan or suv in the country.

In India, people are known to buy Sedans for luxury and SUVs for muscle. The Tata Aria dominates both the categories by offering a bit of both and it also has great mileage.

So all-in-all, the Tata Aria proves to be the perfect choice no matter what features youre looking for. From style and comfort to muscle, power and good mileage! Now thats what Id call the perfect car.

Unlike other SUVs, Being a Crossover, the Tata Aria offers thrilling luxury and a driving experience that I am sure people wont forget. It is fuel efficient and possesses an elite functionality and a standard of safety features which leave you awestruck. The responsive handling, the interior and the easy to use dash interface are some additional features which the Tata Aria proudly pulls off.

In comparison to other automobiles like the Renault Duster, the XUV 500, The Toyota Innova, The Mahindra Scorpio and the Tata Safari which are in the market, Tata Aria is the only crossover that intends and succeeds with its safety features, comfort and convenience in giving a full fledge driving experience.

The 138 BHP motor does its job well. Also, thanks to taller tyre sidewalls (16 inch wheels versus the 17 inchers on the AWD), urban ride quality is also plusher. Fuel efficiency seems to have improved with the Aria 4x2 clocking 13.75 kpl in the ARAI tests.

Infact I noticed that the even the lowest variant of the Aria has more features than the top end Toyota Innova and the price range in almost the same.

What youll like:

Futuristic styling, stance & body-on-frame robustness

200 kgs lighter. Better performance and more nimble to drive too

Spacious 1st & 2nd seat rows. Interior quality a big leap ahead for Tata

Balanced road manners. Urban ride quality even better on 16"" wheels

Base variant gets decent kit (ABS, all disc brakes, audio system, electric mirrors etc.)
