Las Fallas: this festival takes place in Valencia in March and is held from the 15th to the 19th. It is mainly a fireworks display festival that is also jam packed, smoke filled and raucous in every way. It is one of the best festivals that you can take part in while holidaying in Valencia and Spain in general.

La Tomatina: this is a tomato fight festival also held in Valencia. The annual event takes place in August during the last Wednesday and remains to be quite an attraction for the locals and visitors coming from all over the world. People normally line up in the streets and then engage in tomato battles. It is an interesting and fun affair held in Bunol town just near Valencia.

Semana Santa: this festival is help in three different cities in Spain including Andalucia, Malaga and Seville. It is an annual event which takes place during the week heading to Easter Sunday hence the reference to as Holy Week. It among Andalucas most significant festivals and therefore attracts lots of visitors as well as local. These religious celebrations are characterized by floats with Jesus El Gran Poder, La Macarena and Triana revered images.

Carnival Tenerife: these festivals takes place in Tenerife within the Canary Islands and are some of the best. They take place in February and go for a whole 27 days where the islanders gather for the festivities. The carnival is mainly music and dance affair and is therefore one of the most popular especially in Santa Cruz.
