SOS has partnered with the SafetyNET to deliver its course to a greater audience and to offer other safety training courses to existing SOS clients. The SafetyNET is a network of companies from across the continent that are developing and delivering their industry recognized safety training courses online. Online courses, also offered by SOS First Aid, including WHMIS, TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods), Standard First Aid and the SOS First Aid Refresher course, just to name a few.
The online First Aid Refresher is a series of interactive emergency scenarios that help reinforce First Aid training by putting learners directly into emergency situations.
Using video, motion graphics, and decision trees, the interactive scenarios outline important elements of First Aid and CPR implementation.
Learners are provided the opportunity to:
Reinforce and test their knowledge of First Aid and injury prevention
Practise the critical decision-making and soft skills that save lives
Gain confidence that they know how to react appropriately in any emergency situation
This online First Aid refresher course is in accordance with Alberta government guidelines and standards and is included in the certified Alberta Standard First Aid course available through The SafetyNET.
The First Aid interactive Refresher is also available in DVD format. It can be used by first aid instructors to enhance learning for students in the classroom and by company safety committees during safety meetings or by employees wanting to keep their first aid skills honed.
