If you travel through Manhattan and Broadway you can get to Albany, the state capital. Broadway is home to many famous theatres in which great acting talent perform every year, going through some of the world's most celebrated musicals, including Cats, Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar. Acting on Broadway for many artists is the dream of a lifetime, and from the pursuit of this dream, they come from all over the world to participate in the casting process. Every tourist should take the time to see at least one Broadway theatre show.
Another place that should be included on all inclusive American holidays is a trip to the Bronx Zoo. The Bronx Zoo is the largest zoo in America, and extends for more than 100 hectares where you can get to know the gorillas, reptiles, rhinos, bats, elephants, tropical plants and much more. The zoo has an entrance for each section and probably the most impressive is that of Asia (aka the Asia Gate); the other inputs are the Bronx River Gate, the Fordham Road Gate and the Southern Boulevard Gate. The zoo was opened on 8 November 1899 with 22 attractions and 843 animals, and from that day it has been more and more extensions, the latest being that of 1999 with the creation of dedicated to gorillas: the Congo Gorilla Forest, which has a full 6.5 acres of artificial forest, the largest artificial forest in the world. Today the zoo has more than 7000 specimens of 700 animal species that live in recreated grounds similar to those of their natural environment which have been masterfully manufactured as they have played close attention to the details of their natural environment, it is not a case of them all being enclosed in narrow cages.
The purpose of this zoo is to study zoology, to protect animals and educate the public by spreading the love of nature through making it more accessible to the general public. The park is divided into thematic zones that play host to several species of animals. You can, for example, discover the jungle in the forest of the Congo section, with several species of monkeys and gorillas, and then there is the world of reptiles, the birds of the world and the world of darkness with bats and other nocturnal animals. The best time to visit the park are the hot months, because many animals hibernate in winter, so during those months the zoo closes.
