subject: Is It Really Time For You To Move On? 4 Signs The Ex Is Not Coming Back [print this page]

When you want something to happen really badly, it can be hard to accept that this just may not be possible. For example, if you are still very much in love with a woman you broke up with, it can be really hard to just accept the fact that as much as you want to be able to get her back, it's just not going to happen. However, in order for you to be able to remain confident enough that you can end up getting a new girlfriend, you have to be able to recognize when it is a good time to just throw in the towel.

You don't want to keep chasing after someone that you are never going to be able to catch, right?

Here are 4 signs that your ex girlfriend is not going to come back so it's probably best to just move on:

1) She is already in a very committed relationship with another person.

It's not always a bad sign when she is casually dating someone new. However, if you get the news that your ex girlfriend is in a very serious and committed relationship with someone, you might as well take that as a pretty good sign that you may not be able to win her back. There is no use in trying to pursue a woman who is happy with her current relationship and you don't really want to be the kind of guy that goes around breaking couples up, do you?

2) She is totally against the idea of even talking to you.

You may have a hard time getting her to talk at first, but she should eventually open up to having some kind of conversation with you. If you can't seem to get her to that point where she is willing to have a conversation with you, then that is also a pretty good indication that you might as well think about finding a new girlfriend. It's hard to make someone want you when you can't even make them want to talk to you.

3) You and her no longer live near one another.

Long distances are hard to overcome even in the best of situations. If you and your ex girlfriend no longer live near one another, then you might be having unrealistic expectations if you think that you are going to be able to get her back and work things out. Sometimes the distance is just too great and there is nothing that you can do to make things any easier.

4) You are finally seeing that she would rather be single at this stage in her life.

Some people get to a point where they really do want to just be single and not have any commitments. A lot of the time they will come to that conclusion after breaking up with someone. If this seems to be what your ex is doing right now, then you may want to move on and let her enjoy the single life.
