subject: Hoarding Cleaning For Subtle Hoarding Tendencies [print this page]

We spend our lives amassing large collections of stuff that is essentially junk. We stack up books that we have read and DVDs we have watched and leave them in mostly unused piles for years. We move an item of furniture out of the living room and into the attic or garage where it will remain infinitely. So much of this human debris is not inconsequential. In fact it is an indicator of where we are in our lives and in our ability to efficiently compartmentalize and let things go. You do not have to be a full on hoarder to be in the market for the sort of hoarding cleaning that can be so traumatic to some. We all have elements of obsessive compulsions and our insistence on holding onto so much stuff can be trouble.

When you watch a show like A&E's Hoarders you wonder when was the breaking point? How did things get this far? Questions you might be afraid to ask like; Am I on the cusp of this kind of problem?, may never even enter your mind. If you look around your home and see randomly scattered piles of unused things you might want to envision what will happen if you are perpetually left to your own devices. How might those piles grow and when will the problem become something that absolutely needs to be addressed?

Getting a rubbish removal service into your home can be liberating from this sort of internal tension. Clutter is often a reflection on what we feel inside. For every piece of unused junk sitting around your home there is likely an emotional weight that you refuse to let go of. Freeing the space in your home can begin to free the space in your heart and in your head. House clean out services are available not just to the sort of dangerous clutter hoarders you see on television, they are also available to normal people becoming burdened in their own pack-rat tendencies. As with most things, the problem is best treated before it becomes a slow moving crisis situation. In many cases people are not going to notice the problem until it has gotten out of hand. It is on you to assess your own situation.

This is all not to scare you into thinking that you actually have a hoarding problem. It is simply to inform you that many of those tendencies occur in people who are not officially hoarders. They need help to and if you happen to be one of them there is help available now.
