If your child is showing signs and symptoms if milk allergy then this article will be really useful for you because it will tell you what you need to do in terms of treatment and recognizing the problem. Milk is very important for children because it contains calcium which is essential for healthy growth of their bones. Therefore, it will be foolishness to deprive them of this essential diet so early in their life. To reach at a better solution to the problem, you can either surf the internet or visit a trustworthy doctor. There are some children who are even born with milk allergy.

Milk allergy can be observed in people of all age groups but it is most common in small children. The reason for this is that the immune system of a child is very sensitive and reacts quickly to foreign substances. In most cases, allergic reaction occurs not due to milk itself but due to protein present in the milk. However, the good thing about allergy that occurs in children is that it goes away naturally in most cases. If it does not go away after some time then plan needs to be devised to counteract the problem.

People usually experience hives or eczema immediately after the intake of milk. There are also other symptoms of milk allergy like diarrhea and vomiting. These symptoms may take several hours for appearance. It does not matter whether the symptoms you are experiencing are minor or major because they both need medical attention. In any case if minor problems are left untreated then they can turn into much bigger problems. If doctor has advised you to stop giving milk to your child then you need plan B which in this case is to give calcium supplements to the child in order to compensate for the milk calcium. As an alternative, you can also revert to the intake of soya and rice milk.

If you or your child is suffering from soya allergy in addition to milk allergy then you have a serious problem on your hands. If milk allergy is more severe then you may be required to give up all kinds of dairy products including cheese and butter. If a particular system of the body is not acting right then you may need to take antibiotics to counteract the problem and to suppress the disease immediately. However, this does not provide long term solution to milk allergy.

The thing which needs to be taken into account is that milk allergy is not only caused by cow milk. Milk of goat, sheep as well as buffalos also has the property of causing this allergy. The milk of all these mammals has pretty much the same composition and they all contain milk protein which is the root cause of milk allergy. If you have allergy from multiple food items then you need to recognize which food product causes which allergy. However, most food allergies result in the same effect i.e. over activity of autoimmune system.
