subject: Army Recruiters - Painless Scheduling [print this page]

The role of army recruiters is self explanatory. Like the name says, they recruit soldiers for the army. That said; how do they do it? How do they determine who is fit to stay and who is not? This article will help us to better understand their profession and the responsibilities that they have to shoulder.

To begin with, army recruiters do not seek out potential recruits. I had to start with this fact since it seems some people are under the impression that they do. They are not football or rugby scouts who search for the fittest and fastest individuals to join their teams. The army is voluntary to join and leave. They dont pay a lot but they pay enough and one should only join because they are motivated to protect and defend their country not because of monetary gains.

The recruiters usually start by requesting all those interested in joining the army to show up at their offices. This is the first stage. Their objective is to initiate a first meeting with the interested parties and to get to know them a little. The information that they collect is meant to help them make better decisions when the time comes to make the dreaded cuts. Sometimes a person interested in joining the army may not be able to serve his country on the field but can be a useful asset in the office operations department or any other departments in the army. This is what they try to find out early on.

Apart from conducting face to face interviews with potential recruits, the recruiters are also vested with the responsibility of determining the physical fitness of all those who want to join. A simple rule that military recruiters use is to assemble the potential recruits and give them a fitness test. The test usually involves covering a certain mileage in a given time. Those who fail to complete the race or fail to meet the time are not allowed to join. They can, however, be considered for other positions in the army as the army is constantly searching for people to hire.

Writing evaluation reports is and letters of acceptance is another responsibility. The recruiters who outrank the others are sometimes required to manage junior recruiters and ensure that all protocols and procedures are observed. These are just a few of the many responsibilities that army recruiters are required to cater to.

If you work for the army as a recruiter and youre having trouble managing all your responsibilities then you should consider using client scheduling systems better known as online booking systems. These are electronic systems that were created to help business people and professionals lighten their workload by enabling them to become more time conscious and simplifying the way they communicate with others. The systems require the internet to function and can be installed in cell phones, laptops, computers and any other electronic devices that support browsers and connect to the internet.

That said; lets look at two ways that online booking systems can help army recruiters become more efficient. One way, as mentioned above, is to help them become more time conscious. The systems come with reminders that the recruiters can use to help them remember to cater to other tasks that require their attention.

Another way is to help them schedule their appointments with ease. They can easily communicate with potential recruits and set appointments. These systems eliminate the need to make phone calls and end up saving the recruiters a lot of time and money that they can put to better use elsewhere.
