subject: Diablo 3: Jay Wilson For Pvp [print this page]

Patch 1.0.4 for Diablo 3 comes to balancing a lot of the characters and a lot of loot redesigned. But what about the PvP mode for Diablo 3? One of the most eagerly-awaited cornerstone for long-lasting gameplay of Diablo 3 is planned for patch 1.1 and now no one knows exactly to what to expect. Must the PvP'ler be content with a mere matchmaking system, as many as allowed in the arena and the mode now looks like concrete?

Jay Wilson has made himself scarce in recent weeks, almost nothing was heard of him and see. He probably enjoyed a few weeks of vacation - the development of a game takes a lot of strength and nerve.

But he has, probably around the release date of Diablo 3, gave an interview for the well-known players in circles Jace Hall Show and called there a few, unfortunately, few details about future PvP system.

This video is rendered in the anaglyph method. Anyone who has a pappige red-green glasses from the penultimate visit to the cinema, Jay Wilson's tummy can admire in all its glory, the rest looks weird offsets. The exciting part for us starts at about 11:30 minutes.

What in the opinion of almost all PvP players do not go, is to introduce a completely server-driven matchmaking system. For a quick duel in between 1on1 and well planned - a matchmaking-system makes sense: You come across enemies that are reasonably equivalent, partners do not exist. But the crown of the PvP team play with a well-rehearsed band.

Just as Jay Wilson is expressed, for both players the option to use the team play the matchmaking for the compilation of a separate team and put together his own band (up to 4-on-4). He mentions in the interview and that Diablo 2 is a real PvP did not have, except the Hostile-way in Diablo 3, there are but a PvP-Arena (nothing new for those interested), with the deathmatch mode (nothing new, Most Kills bring victory) and for over 10 minutes ...

The absolutely most important thing is the message that you can assemble your own team. The open (more details are unfortunately not known) the opportunity for an informal league (eg unique team name if possible). Even if you have a matchmaking system for the selection of opponents - the team would be the same, the opponent would be approximately the same strength and then the chaff from the wheat, and eventually only the teams compete at a similar level. And whether the supplementary features, it is in PvP mode to give Diablo3 is not known. The fact that PvP planned for a long time coming out, first with patch 1.1, hope that makes a separate balancing will be integral part of the mode. But be warned: PvP in Diablo 3 will be more of a fun-fashion as a serious league basis.
