subject: Mini-skirts And Boots | Choosing Shoes That Suit Your Mini-skirt [print this page]

The main reason why we wear mini-skirts is our desire to show our figure in all its beauty. But even if you have just irresistible feet, badly matched shoes can outweigh all your efforts. Here are some wholesome pieces of advice: what kind of shoes should you wear with such an immodest outfit, and what kind of shoes it is better to leave on a shelf.

Flip-flops are one of the simplest and the most relevant options in upcoming summer. They are ideal if you're going to wear a casual style skirt, such as a denim mini. In this case, the bottom will be in harmony with the upper part. Even the most ardent glamour supporters should not give up the idea of wearing flip-flops, as long as they may be decorated with sequins, beads, crystals and even diamonds and can look just as beautiful as high-heel shoes.

You can easily replace flip-flops with tennis shoes. They are also suitable for daytime walks in the mini. However, must be careful there: give your preference to the upgraded versions that look miniature and feminine. If you are fund of sneakers, you should also know where to enough is enough: for example, teenagers favorite Converse will bring an eye-irritating urban touch in your look.

Nothing else can emphasize the long beautiful legs, as sharply as wedges do. In this case your imagination should have no boundaries, except for one thing: it must be sandals, demonstrating the manicured toes. Lace-up shoes would look too bulky with a short skirt. In general, the choice of shoes is huge: with straps, laces, trimmed with cloth, leather, modest, or bohemian luxurious.

Contrary to conventional wisdom that the shoes without heels make your legs feel "heavy", ballet flats would look pretty with a mini-skirt. If you will be lucky to find stylish, plain, even modest "slippers" and combine them with a casual skirt, then you will get a graceful, feminine look. Also look closer to models of gold or silver skin.

The high-heels supporters may wear shoes with the kitten hills. Being comfortable enough, they look lightweight and pretty. Wicker, smooth, strapped, bright or transparent -you will, certainly, not be bored this season.

A mini-skirt combined with high boots is a true clich of recent years. Heeled, or not, above the knee or just below it, with a zipper or a solid, such boots go best combined with the mini, especially in the rainy summer weather. However, you must be careful there: if you overdo I with a catchy design and color, instead of a sexy lady look, you might look like a woman of pleaser from the well-known downtown Moscowstreet.

Now lets discover what kind of shoes mini-skirts supporters should avoid. First of all, it is short-cut boots. There are two options: either they make your legs look too thick or too thin. These shoes can make even visually beautiful feet look bulky and awkward, and the thin ones will look like the pencils in the glasses.

"Stilettos" with their thick, elongated noses, no matter how nice they look with pants, look frankly pathetic with a mini-skirt. Here we can draw the same comparison, as in the high boots case. "Stilettos" make us sexier, and for this reason there is no necessity to wear a supermini- skirt with them. Too good is way too bad.

And finally the last warning is about the platform shoes. If you want to wear a mini-skirt, then put this kind of shoes on the most distant shelf, as its stodgy look has nothing to do with ease and weightlessness typical of the majority of mini-skirts.
