subject: Digital Access Pass Review For You [print this page] For some time now, the on-line membership site small business model has been around. These types of websites may be really compelling for the ideal merchandise, but getting good tools to handle the content that your customers want is an enormous challenge. Earlier items were very pricey, very often made it essential to have a separate hosting account, required customization, and were seriously not flexible. However, in the past few years, a number of much less expensive solutions have come on the market. My post at this time is about one of those products. This Digital Access Pass Review will cover such points as:
What Digital Access Pass is and who it is for
My likes and dislikes upon my very first impression of the item
If it really is better than Wishlist Member
What you will need to know just before you get started.
One particular of the top positive aspects of obtaining a membership web-site, needless to say, is recurring revenue. Unfortunately, with there now being a great number of WordPress plugins along with other membership software packages offered, determining the right one for your unique company could be a time consuming challenge. A review last year of Wishlist Member showed it to be one of your initial solutions readily available to make it easy to use a WordPress blog as a membership web-site platform. Do not get me wrong: Wishlist Member does an excellent job, nonetheless it just isn't with out flaws. Recently, I took a look at Digital Access Pass.
The description on their internet site states that it is a Membership Plugin For WordPress (and regular HTML websites)Digital Access Pass positions itself as a flexible and robust tool for its shoppers to secure content and deliver it to paid members in a 'TrueDrip' fashion (extra on what that implies later).

Who is Digital Access Pass For?
Any individual who has or wishes to start a membership website, is looking for a way to secure content material, and be able to deliver it to paying (or free) customers in a timely manner. WordPress has become an exceptionally popular website platform lately, DAP integrates with WordPress, but because of it's design, it can also secure regular webpages,(html, and php pages).
My First Impressions
For those people who are uncomfortable with doing tech things themselves, one of the greatest advantages of using DAP is that they offer to set it up cost free. I wanted to see how difficult it would be to install so I did it on my own. In my opinion, this type of program should be simple enough for a novice to get up and running without a whole lot of hassle. These were the steps I completed. I found them to be fairly uncomplicated:
Initially download the 2 software zip files and unzip.
Next, upload two unzipped folders. I did this fairly easily with FileZilla.
This can be done with any FTP program after plugging in login details for the hosting account. One Caution: only one of the folders goes in the regular WordPress plugins folder, the other goes off the root of your domain.
Now, activate Plugin via your WordPress admin plugin interface.
Permalinks update: The last step is to verify a permalinks setting, and save. Again, this is done via the WordPress admin panel.
Total Install Time:10 minutes
One of the initial items I noticed in my WordPress admin panel was an icon at the bottom left of your navigation bar. After you select that icon, the right hand pane refreshes into another scroll bar, and you can see the administration area for Digital Access Pass.
I was a bit confused, because during the setup, I was given another link to login to the admin panel separately from WordPress. After a discussion with Ravi, the product's creator, I was told that DAP in reality performs most of its work outside of WordPress, giving it far more flexibility. Now, I'm not a coder, but I was certainly glad to hear DAP does the majority of its work outside of WordPress because WordPress has had problems with security previously.
To be fair, I didn't have a ton of time to write a complete Digital Access Pass Review, there had been a few specific items I wanted to see in action, so I spent a good deal of my time testing them. I'd encourage you to try the 30 day trial for $0.01, and see if it makes sense for your particular needs.
Much more about DAP and my likes and dislikes, along with a comparison with Wishlist Member is on the way.
