subject: Team Building Activity At Panoramic Water Park [print this page]

It was one of the rare occasions where I was enjoying my trip with little known friends. It was a picnic to Karnala Panoramic Resort with my office colleagues. I had just completed a month in this office, so everyone was not my friend. They were good people but couldn't term them as friends, as we hardly know each other. So coming back to my first picnic with this new team, I must say it was two days of complete enjoyment.

I wonder who invented this stuff as team building exercise and how true he was. The bonding which we have along with our members helps us to work together in a beautiful environment. Such team activity really improves the productivity of the team along with the revenue and relationship of each individual. I was bit skeptical about joining them for the picnic coz I was not still an integral part of the trip. In the end I decided it is the right opportunity to mingle with all team members.

We had booked a vehicle from Thane as it was the nearest place for all team members. It was tempo traveler and really a good one. Our journey started by 9.00 in the morning and it took us around 2 hours to reach the resort. The resort is very interior to the city and next to the Karnala Bird Sanctuary. On our way we had our breakfast and after paying the balance amount to the resort we started exploring the resort.

It is really a big resort as it had more than 15 acres of land. I was amused to find much of the place was devoted to trees and plants. I like the resort coz they didn't uprooted the trees and plants just to make additions to their infrastructure. We started off by taking a dip in the swimming pool and exploring all other water activities. The company Panoramic Universal Ltd. (PUL) manages this resort and I must say that they are doing a great job.

Till evening we were enjoying in the water. It was only after sun set down we came out and changed ourselves in to comfortable cloths we started the next thing for which picnic was actually planned. All of us are occasional drinkers so we had planned not to miss the opportunity. There were plenty of options available in the bar and restaurant in the resorts.

It was after our drinking session I started to like my new colleagues a lot. A special praise goes to our Manager who was really friendly and not once he was acting like a boss. He was just another friend with whom we were free to talk. The languages and the attitude were completely different. He warned us way before we got in to the bus that no one would talk about work in the picnic. He was true to its words and we were all discussing about the then going India's match with Sri Lanka. This picnic at Panoramic Water Park really motivated me.
