subject: Paypal Account Not For Your Business [print this page] Business policies are framed to secure the rights and privileges of the clienteles. The terms and conditions are quite similar to the promises made to render the best customer services to clients. However, this is not the case with PayPal account, where customers end up with unpleasant experiences. With PayPal you can loose all your hard earned money within no time. Clients not only end up paying huge service charges, but they can block your account for no reasons. In this way, PayPal is becoming one of the richest services providers.
I am a web designer who has been catering to all clients requirements across the world. All was fine until one day, when I got an email from PayPal customer service informing that my account has been blocked. That email blew me off as 2 of my major clients had recently paid me for my work. The amount was too huge to be ignored, and I had every right to know the reason.
At first, the customer service officer could not find the exact reason for blocking of my account, although they promised to investigate the matter as soon as possible. As per the PayPal terms and conditions, the account of a customer can be blocked only if they have exceeded the number of transactions or if they are involved into any fraudulent activities.
In my case, I have been diligently carrying out my business, and there were no complains from my clients. My point here is how PayPal can block my account, without any prior intimation. Moreover, their policies and rules are pretty secretive, and only a PayPal employee knows them all. I called up the PayPal resolution centre phone number, as I was now concerned about getting access to my hard earned money.
Their terms talk about limitations, but they fail to mention the exact limits amount. What is more, you cannot find the accurate transaction fees, which adds to your inconvenience. As my PayPal account has been frozen, I am not allowed to withdraw any cash even during the emergency situations. Getting connected to the customer service department and explaining things to them is another difficult task.
All I did for another 4 weeks was just keep requesting the concerned department to find the best solution to my issue. They agreed to let me access a part of my funds, since I had a medical emergency. What I though was that during such an emergency, something is always better nothing. Few more weeks passed by and I still did not hear anything from them. What upsets me is that neither do I have a clue why my account is blocked nor do they. Besides, in spite of my account be closed temporarily, I am being charged monthly penalties. Well, all I can say not is that I hate PayPal.
