Wine Bottle Openers
There are several types of wine bottle openers with a corkscrew. The winged corkscrew is the common type. Just like wings, there are two projections on the sides. When the central screwed portion is pushed into the cork, the lever on either side causes the cork to rise up and the wings come down. The waiters front or wine key is a smaller version. Using a Standard cork Bottle Opener
Standard bottle openers are available in two varieties; one that works with a lever and the other is the corkscrew. It is sometimes called as a cork puller. The foil covering or any other covering on the top of the bottle is removed. By turning the opener clockwise, the cork has to be removed. The spiraled part of the opener has to go into the cork. Then while pulling the opener, the cork also comes up. The cork is retained to re-use it.
All corkscrew openers function in the same way. Various types of corkscrew openers are available such as the one with a knife, the French type, waiters friend available in stainless steel and a deluxe variety.
