subject: Test The Running Of Ball Mill After Installation [print this page] When the installation of ball mill has been finished, you have to examine the running of Ball Mill. There are several steps of Ball Mill test running as follows:
1. Check the following requirements before testing
1.1 The connection condition of the bolts;
1.2 Clean the sundries in the equipment;
1.3 Heat the lubricating oil to 20 degree before starting if the temperature is below 10 degree.
2. The load and time of the test running:
2.1 Empty running for 3 to 7 hours (no grinding body and material in it);
2.2 Load 1/3 grinding body and run for 3 to 5 hours;
2.3 Load 2/3 grinding body and run for 5 to 10 hours;
2.4 Load 5/6 grinding body and run for 10 to 12 hours;
2.5 Load all the grinding body and run for 15 hours;
It should be pointed out that the increase of the above carrying capacity is no more than that of the speed reducer teething. The increase of its carrying capacity is no more than the increase of the teeth surface contacting accuracy of speed reducer, which is a principle. Therefore, carefully check reducer teething (including contact of teeth flanks, temperature rise, voice, etc ).If abnormal situation happens, please off load, extend operating hoursRunning at full capacity is forbidden if contact accuracy cannot meet requirements.
3. The quality of the test running
Check the followings when the mill works
3.1 The vibrating swing of the main bearing should be no bigger than 0.1mm, the swing of the speed reducer should be no bigger than0.05mm, and the swing of the transmission bearing should be no bigger than 0.008mm;
3.2 The temperature of the main bearing, speed reducer and transmission bearing should be no bigger than the rated value;
3.3 The lubricating system works well;
4. The connection bolts of scaleboard and the plate will be loose or break because of the strong impact vibration. Therefore, stop the mill and check it after 24 hours empty running;
5. Check the connection situation of bolts between end covers and hollow shaft after 24 hours running with 2/3 grinding body;
6. The rest should follow the requirements of operation, maintenance and repair;
