Three things to consider: It is very important to teach children accountability.
Even after treatment, a person who is addicted may still relapse.
Rescuing your kids from the consequences of their actions teaches them there are no consequences.
One of things that can come of this is allowing them to get down enough to find the motivation to cause change.
