Price of the petrol variants begin at Rs 7.19 lakh for the base model while the other model which is place one notch above the base trim is priced at Rs 8.19 lakh. On the other hand the 83 hp diesel version of the SUV range starts at Rs 7.99 lakhs for the base model, Rs 8.99 lakhs for the mid variant and Rs 9.99 lakhs for the high end version. On the other hand the 108 hp diesel variants come with a starting price tag of Rs 9.99 lakhs, the other two models are available at Rs 10.99 lakhs and Rs 11.29 lakhs respectively. The SUV is comfortable as a sedan and tough as a sport utility vehicle. The India produced Duster SUV will be offered in the UK market. Currently the French car maker is not offering 4X4 version of the SUV in the domestic market. The automatic variant is also not on offer and could be launched later if the demand for automatic variant rises. Other compact SUVs are also making its way into the Indian car market but Duster seems to have taken the lead by advancing the launch and making a place for itself in the SUV segment. Company"s next launch in India would be the rebadged version of Nissan Sunny sedan named Renault Scala. Scala will be priced a little higher than Nissan Sunny, the sedan is expected to be launched in India during the festive season. Some changes will be made to the sedan however, most of it will be similar to Nissan Sunny. This would be the fifth launch from the French car maker in India and the last for this year too. Last year before re-entering the Indian car market, Renault had claimed to launch five new cars in India within a time span of 18 months. The company managed to live up to its words and here it is working full swing on the development of its fifth vehicle for the domestic market, Renault Scala.
