subject: Why I Was Stupid To Consider That My Internet Business Was A Massive Failure? [print this page]

Do you know what it takes to succeed online? It is all about mind set. You will discover in this article how I considered one of my websites a huge failure.

I was stupid to consider this. That site was actually a huge hit and it made me solid profits and got tremendous conversion.

This article will show you how you can change your mind set and when you do this even a failed website will seem to be successful. From this point you can pick up your failing online business and make them wildly profitable.

Here's my true story...

I created one website in 2006. Here's what I did...

1. I created 4 products in my niche. They were actually resell right products.

2. I wrote around 487 articles to promote this website.

3. I created a list building system that included a squeeze page, follow up emails and a free report to give away to my list.

I did not make huge profits initially with this website. What I thought that the website was a huge failure and I was very disappointed with the results as it did not give me instant profits. I stopped writing articles and promoting the website.

In 2006 I was not aware about how systems work and I had not mastered the testing and tracking part of setting up an online business. Now that I know how to do all this I pulled out my numbers and created a report.

This is what happened from 2007 to 2011. The site got me over 30k visitors, 6000 leads and over $20k profits from just 487 articles, 4 products and 12 follow up emails. Can you image the returns? I felt stupid to consider this website a huge failure.

This website made me a solid return on investment of time and money. I generated over 12 leads and $40 per article. I could have literally written and submitted 300 articles every month using that same system and turned my business into a million dollar machine.

However, I learned a lesson. Here's what you should be doing...

Give an estimated value to every action you take to build your online business. When I write my articles now I make sure that I give some value to it, for instance I give a value of $1 to every article I write and submit. I feel that I have already earned $40 per article when I write and submit my article. I know I will get these returns slowly and steadily in next few years and this gives me motivation to take more action to build my online business.
