Skylar Laine
This 18 year old Brandon, Mississippi native was in the Top 5 before she was eliminated in May. Her musical influences include Waylon Jennings and Miranda Lambert, among others. She says she has memorized every song Lambert has ever sung and says she grew up on Jennings. She was a crowd favorite and the judges absolutely thought she was going to be the next idol.
Phillip Phillips
The winner of this season's American Idol will be joining the rest of the top 10 contestants on the tour. The 21 year old from Leesburg, Georgia claims that Ben Neil, his brother in-law is his greatest musical influence. Phillips won over the judges and the audience with his soulful voice and guitar playing.
Joshua Ledet
Placing in the Top 3, Ledet hails from Westlake, California. At 19, Ledet has a promising career ahead of him. All three judges commented that he is the stuff of legends and his musical influence happens to be his mother.
Jessica Sanchez
The runner-up against Phillips, Sanchez was one of the youngest of this season's contestants, but you couldn't tell by the way she sings. She has a very adult voice and gets her musical influence from artists like Celine Dion, Beyonce, and Whitney Houston.
Hollie Cavanagh
The 18 year old from McKinney, Texas was in the Top 4 before being eliminated and it was all due to her ability to have a wide range vocally. Cavanagh says her influences come from artists such as Adele, Mariah Carey, and more.
Heejun Han
Hailing from Flushing, New York, this 22 year old placed in the Top 9 and did so with style. Han showed off both his personal style and unique vocal abilities on the show.
Erika Van Pelt
Erika was in the Top 10 and the 26 year old from South Kingstown, Rhode Island did it by constantly transforming her sound and her personal style.
Elise Testone
Finishing in the Top 6, this 28 year old from Charleston, South Carolina really showed her ability by singing tough songs.
DeAndre Brackensick
Coming from San Jose, California, Brackensick finished in the Top 8 through his captivating voice and unique personal style.
Colton Dixon
Finishing in the Top 7, the 20 year old from Murfreesboro, Tennessee gave it his all with powerful, inspiring performances.
