The new designer kitchen project was part of a wider renovation following the purchase of their new home in Barrowford, near Lancashire.
To ensure quality design and workmanship, the couple decided to enlist the help of the experts at Kitchen Design Centre.
Mr Balshaw had envisaged a classic L shaped style kitchen. But after speaking to Simon, an expert designer at Kitchen Design Centre, he soon realised that much more could be done to unlock the rooms true potential.
Mr Balshaw said: I absolutely fell in love with the designs Simon suggested.
It was something totally unique and different. It turned out that his design ideas fitted in exactly with what I wanted to achieve.
With a large island work surface and bar in the centre, LED lighting and a wall TV, the room feels bright, spacious, comfortable and practical.
A curved, rectangular style of the room and island was complimentary to the rest of the house and created more space, said Simon.
The innovative design also creates the feeling of flow between rooms.
German Handleless kitchens from Kitchen Design Centre are equipped with all the latest state-of-the-art appliances, including an induction hob, a combi-steam oven, two slide-door ovens, a combination microwave, a huge Neff American Fridge Freezer and a cutting-edge Quooker boiling hot water tap.
Kitchen Design Centre cooking appliances are equipped with special features and finishing touches designed to make cooking a pleasure.
The German kitchen also includes Corian worktops. Corian has a satin like finish that is extremely resistant to stains. Scratches can easily be removed and cleaning is simple. The doors also underwent a lacquering process, a water-soluble, solvent-free alternative to paint.
There is even a pop up plug socket on the central work surface.
Mr Balshaw said: Initially, we were worried there wouldnt be enough storage space available. But the fantastic design has allowed for more than sufficient cupboard room. Everything is to hand and accessible.

Shortly after the installation, Mr Balshaw attended a Neff cooking MasterClass at the Kitchen Design Centre Colne showroom.
