subject: Three Memorable Childhood Moments [print this page]

We all have days from our childhood that remain with us for the rest of our life. Here are a few that you may remember or that your children may cherish.

First Kiss

First kisses can happen in almost any circumstance, of course, however, they often take place either at a school disco or party or at the cinema on a date. While many people will remember their first kiss because it is the start of more adult experiences for a lot of us, for others it is just another exciting adventure in life and is a very happy and special experience. Whether you've plucked up the courage to cajole a girl into accompanying you into a cinema trip to sit in the back row of an empty theatre to watch a film that is of secondary entertainment to both of you, or have enticed a boy across the school hall to ask you to dance, it's a moment and day you will never forget.

Hot Air Balloon Trips

For many children a trip in a hot air balloon comes as a pleasant surprise as your parents keep the following day's activities secret from you: all you know is that you have to get up early and you must dress warmly. As you approach the field for take off the excitement - and anticipation - mounts, before you finally realise with delight what it is that you'll be doing for the morning. As you push up into the skies the world unfolds beneath you to create an unforgettable moment.

Camping Trips

If your parents took you camping then no doubt you'll have many pleasant experiences and memories to look back on, whether it's singing round the fire together to cooking sausages over it. Then there are the games with other children as friends are easily made and the fun never stops as you learn the basics of camping such as pitching a tent or making a fire. Then there are the less fun moments - but equally cherished - where you wake up in the morning to see the rain tumbling out of the skies outside your tent and you realise that at some point you will need to venture out and pack up your stuff: character building and memorable!

As you can see there are many different experiences we have as children that we remember - which do you look back on most fondly?
