We are responsible for 97% of the diseases in our body. But one disease for which we are wholly responsible is obesity. When we were born we had such a nice body with flexible muscles. As we grow up we put on lot of weight. This mainly happens due to various reasons like sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy eating habits, untimely eating habits, eating junk foods, no exercise, etc.
In most cases fat gets deposited in the stomach and chin of our body. This makes us look plump, older than our age, ugly and unhealthy. Obesity is also responsible for various diseases like back ache, joint pain, knee pain and also some life-taking diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, etc.
But the good thing is we can reduce obesity or unnecessary fat deposits in our body doing some exercises for some time daily and by improving our eating habits. And once we get into correct shape after reducing weight we will prevent various above mentioned diseases.
There are various types of exercises that we can do to reduce weight and keep ourselves fit. The best rule is we should exercise for at least 30 minutes daily for 5 days a week.
There are mainly three types of exercises:
1. Aerobic Exercises
2. Anaerobic Exercises
3. Flexibility Exercises
1. Aerobic Exercises:
Aerobic exercises are something like which requires you to make lot of physical movement which in turn burns the calories in the body thereby reducing fat. Exercises like running, skipping or rope jumping, swimming, dancing, cycling; playing sports, etc. are examples of aerobic exercises. These exercises are the best way to lose weight. One should perform these exercises for at least 20 min to get the best result.
2. Anaerobic Exercises:
Exercises which require you to lift weights are kind of anaerobic exercises. These exercises help you to build and strengthen muscles. Some of the anaerobic exercises are push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, etc.
3. Flexibility Exercises:
Exercises which involve doing Yoga or performing asana are related to Flexibility exercises. The main objective of these exercises flexible muscles and proper movement of joints. Stretching, turning and bending are some of the common types of flexibility exercises.
Apart from exercises we should also improve our eating habits. We should chew the food properly. It is said that as we have 32 teeth we should chew each morsel of food 32 times. We should avoid junk food, eat on time, and have fresh fruits and vegetables. And most important is not watching television or read anything while eating. Just concentrate on your eating.
We should often keep tab of our weight. The ideal rule for ideal weight of our body weight is per inch of our height should be equal to per kilogram of our body. For example, if our height is say 5.9"(approx. 6.9 inches) then the ideal weight is 69 kg. So watch your weight at least once a week.
So take care of your body doing simple exercises and improving eating habits and look good, beautiful, and young.
