These are caused in the scalp and in the front of the hairline. These cause red and painful bumps on the scalps that are caused for several reasons. The reason may be the skin condition or infection but the irritation and discomfort caused can be severe.

Causes of scalp pimples and acne

The scalp pimples are not very common when they are seen on the scalp. The skin has the tendency to naturally produce sebum which is an oil layer and this spreads across the scalp through the pores of the scalp. The pores get blocked by the dead cells of the scalp and the excess oil and hence there is a growth of bacteria in the area. The Bacteria grows and multiplies in the sebum as the sebum remains in the area. The pimples are formed in this way from the blocked pores of the scalp.

As the pimples grow larger, they become visible easily and can be distinguished as white head or black head. They slowly becomes red in the mound and gets inflamed and filled with pus. The zit is formed and becomes infectious. There are a few factors that make it possible for the scalp pimples to grow.

There are the hormones that play a part in forming the scalp pimples and the quantity of oil produced is also important for the pimples. There are people who get more oil from their glands and some gets less. These are a few of the factors that give growth of pimples.

There are different ways you can try to keep them away. You can maintain a healthy scalp condition and use hair products that are not full of chemicals. The change of lifestyle and reducing of stress can give you respite. If they are seen on your scalp, try to visit a dermatologist to get them cured before they turn to a riot.
