In order to sit for NNAAP exam in Illinois a student must meet following requirement:
Must be at least 16 years old or above
Must pass police background check
Should have high school diploma or GED or its equivalent.

IL CNA licensure exam contains both written and clinical nursing skill test and both sections of certification exam must be qualified by students to obtain the nurse aide certification.
Students must take and pass the licensure test within two year of their training completion. In between these two years students are allowed to take the certification exam three times and if a student fails in one portion of the exam, he is required to take the exam of that particular portion only, but those who dont qualify both parts of assessment, need to take the whole exam once again.
