Beginning Their Climb
Lady Antebellum's first foray into commercial music had them featured as guest singers on a Jim Brickman single-release, "Never Alone," in 2007. They were soon signed to the Capitol Records label in Nashville and began recording their first studio album, called, simply, "Lady Antebellum." The first single released off this record, "Love Don't Live Here," co-written by Dave, Hillary and Charles, appeared in October 2007, and made its way to number three on Billboard's Hot Country chart.
The third single from this self-titled album, a song called, "I Run To You," was released in January 2009, and became the group's first #1 single. It won the Country Music Association's Single of the Year Award for 2009 and also garnered the Grammy that year for Best Country Performance by a Group or Duo with Vocals. "I Run To You," was a true crossover success, placing well on four separate Billboard charts:

Need You Now
Following up on their first effort, Lady A's second studio album, "Need You Now," was released January 26, 2010. The first single from the album, also titled, "Need You Now," was released five months earlier, August 2009, debuting on Billboard's Hot Country Songs at #50. By November of that year it had worked its way up to #1, giving the group their second #1 hit. After performing the song at the CMA Awards it rocketed to #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and, after the album won the Grammy for Best Country Album, the single made it to #2 on the Hot 100. Another crossover success, appealing to a wide range of divergent listeners, the "Need You Now," album contained a total of three #1 country chart singles and was certified triple platinum.
The Latest and the Greatest
Not ones to sit idly on past success, January 2011 saw the group going back into the studio to begin work on their third album, titled, "Own The Night." The first single released from the album, "Just A Kiss," came out in May 2011, at #28 on Billboard's Hot Country chart, soon making its way to #1 and certified double platinum. Another in their string of number one hits, "Just A Kiss," was also a crossover success, making it to #7 on Billboard's Hot 100 and topping the Billboard 200. The current tour, Own The Night, features songs from all three albums.
