Peer pressure is so strong especially amongst teens as well as the youth. Peers are with so much influenced in your attitude, values and behavior. While you can get good set of friends, it can not be denied that there are also some who does bring out the worst in you. This is when maturity and discernment comes into play. You should be keen enough to be discerned who are good from who are not.

Try to avoid individuals who do benzodiazepine addiction. Do not give them opportunity to convince you to be one of them. Learn how to refuse to individuals and things that within your judgment would not do good but more harm. Instead give yourself a chance to attend in any drug intervention program.

Spend more time with people who bring out the best in you instead. Be with people who inspire you to be better. With them, you may have stayed away from vices, you're being reminded that indeed there are a lot of better things to do than do drugs, and also to them, you are a walking reminder that life is indeed wonderful without drugs.

Staying away from substance abuse doesn't mean being in denial that it is happening. Accept the truth that it exists, be of knowledge about its pros and cons. Be informed and inform. Share with your friends its downside why is it prohibited and save them from the curiosity of trying it to know what it is. So when it is your curiosity who wants to be served, parents, support group, good friends, teachers, counselors would gladly extend their hands to help you out. All you need to do is simply to seek for help and it will be readily given.

Come terms with yourself. Knowing yourself more, knowing your objectives, your dreams and aspirations in life would direct you to the right path. The greater dreams you may have, the more determined you are to be in your foremost form. The better you understand yourself, the more you may realize your strengths and capabilities. The more you consider your future, the more you will try to get a brighter tomorrow.

You may not be able to change the world, but you can be the change you want the world to become.
