subject: Why Select A Recommended Nail Lacquer [print this page]

Women enjoy collecting colored nail lacquer and often have rather big selection to choose from. This is because it is another way for a woman to make a statement, in the same way as clothes or make-up. It is not unusual for a woman to make sure her nails are right before setting foot outside. The problem with their choice of nail paint is that it can easily fall apart, meaning that it constantly needs re-applying. Those who want a better option should think about getting their nails expertly painted with gel paints.

The basic style of varnish to use on nails is created with acetate. They turn from liquid to a thin flexible solid that coats the nail completely with color. It is painted onto the nail and left for anything up to 5 minutes until it sets, leaving behind a coat of color. The problem with this product is that nails release natural oils that can make the varnish come loose. Gel fashionable nail lacquer is the alternate option, and does not have this problem.

The difference with newer alternatives is that they are made from a gel rather than a powder-based product. This means that they are applied differently, dry differently and have to be removed by different methods. Some of the most recent breakthroughs mean that the tough gel coat can be soaked off using a formulated treatment. Nail lacquer products are obviously the better answer for those not wanting the trouble of acetate.

Another difference is that normal polish is easy to buy in the store and apply at home. This delivers some convenience, but doesn't look nearly as nice as a professional application. Gels are typically harder to buy in shops and need to be dried with UV or LED lights, so they are often limited to professional treatments. While this sounds less opportune, this is the most effective way to have the fashionable nail lacquer last as long as possible. Most people who have gels painted on do not need to have them redone or removed for 14 days or more.

The verdict on what treatments to use often comes down to how much it costs, although gels are much more valuable. Although slightly more expensive, they look better and will cause less stress about them chipping. They can be done before a holiday and will look as good as they did coming out of the salon right up until the journey home. Gels are becoming a lot more popular for this reason.
