subject: Your Holiday Villas In Valencia Based On The Orange Blossom Coast [print this page]

It is amazing that you have chosen the one place to book your HOLIDAY VILLAS IN VALENCIA that lives up to its name: the Costa del Azahar or the Orange Blossom Coast. The smell of this fruit wafts through the air creating an atmosphere of tranquillity indicating a quiet and peaceful life. The Costa del Azahar covers both provinces of Castellon and Valencia. The seaside resorts along this coast are popular due to the rather large array of activities on offer including cycling, walking routes and boat rides plus a lot more. You could go on and on about the amenities such as the great climate this area has year round, the friendly natives, pristine beaches and a cuisine to die for. Suffice it to say that this represents one of the best holiday destinations in Spain.

This area is blessed with an excellent climate but what else would you expect with the Mediterranean Sea being close at hand? It has hot and dry summers with temperatures in the 30s Celsius and mild dry winters when it gets down to the 5 degrees Celsius mark. Due to its location it receives little if any rain in the summer but for the tourists this is not a problem as the Mediterranean Sea is a great place to cool off. Some of the seaside resorts located on this section of the Mediterranean coastline include Benicarlo, Alcossebre, Oliva, Vinaros, Penniscola and Gandia. If possible stop by the town of Benicarlo where you will find the true working class of people who live the Spanish lifestyle we are all looking for. While you are there check out the markets and shops along with the large array of historical buildings.

When you arrive in the medieval village of Penniscola, sitting on top of a peninsula with its defensive walls, no one needs to tell you that the movie El Cid was filmed here. Over the decades Penniscola has become the most popular tourist destination on this part of the coast. If it is a quiet friendly place with shops and restaurants scattered around the town that you are interested in then it has to be Alcossebre. If the beach life is calling then make your way over to the lover's getaway of Oliva. The second largest resort on the Costa del Azahar is the city of Gandia with Vinaros being somewhat larger.

You will have a hard time choosing your HOLIDAY VILLAS IN VALENCIA as there is too much on offer. When you add the villages located inland the equation it grown exponentially to a point where it is hard to make a choice. Some of these villages tucked away in the hillside have their own castle but more importantly a special and peaceful Spanish way of life.
