subject: My Tour Of Corbett National Park [print this page]

I was waiting eagerly for the coming weekend not because I was tired of working or yearned for resilience but I was craving for some fun and adventure which could arouse adrenalin rush in me. However hanging out with friends in amusement park was one of the options but I was looking for seclusion from the crowd.

I was confused with several adventurous spots until my friend rang me up. He proposed an idea which I could not deny. Yes it was for visiting Jim Corbett national park... before leaving for the national park I went through some details about the park and I figured out that it was the best place I was looking for. Moreover its the oldest national park, thus I went with the saying "old is gold".

Corbett national park is situated in nainital district in uttrakhand which is around 300 km away from Delhi so we decided to travel by car. Early morning we left the city and destined to uttrakhand. My excitement was growing as we were approaching our destination. The reason being ecstatic was about the very first visit. The journey was comfortable and for us it took 4 hours to reach there. We had already made looking for accommodation in a resort where we relaxed in our luxury room and headed towards the national park. We took a safari and our apertunants before entering the park.

As we entered the park it seemed as we were in different world. It was the place closest to nature and which we were deprived of. The weather was good with a little showering which I enjoyed a lot. Our guide did apprise us about the species of plants and animals. He told us that there were 488 species of plants and 585 species of animals and birds including resident and migrants. I was so amazed seeing various species of flora and fauna which I hadnt seen before. The main attractions were leopards, Himalayan Black bears, Indian Grey Mongoose, otters, yellow-throated martens, ghoral (goat-antelopes), Indian pangolins, and langur and rhesus monkeys. Unlike camouflaged tigers, spotted dears were very conspicuous. The chirping of birds provides soothing to ears. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Thereafter I strived for some adventure and went for river rafting. We put on our safety gears and rode the raft with full enthusiasm. We went through many impediments and finally ended with seamless flow of river. I wish I could have it once again but there were other adventures waiting for us. The impact of river

rafting was not forgotten before we reached for parasailing. The joy of sailing at a height of several meters cannot be expressed in words. It felt as if I was a bird flying high in the sky with no restrictions. When I landed on the ground, I had no time thinking about what I did in past few minutes as we had to rush for the next one.

THE next adventure was the mountain biking. I'm very fond of riding bicycles since my childhood. We climbed down the hill riding bicycle with full throttle. The day was at its culmination with delicious meal at one of the most reputed restaurant. I wish I could enthrall all those moments.

Though its a matter of inarticulateness to expound each and every

experience, yet I have shared my contingencies to the best I can....
