[print this page] Messages from our followers told us of the terrible things being posted, the awful rumors and the users responsible, their messages contained several different tinyurl links (See Below). After further investigation we determined that at least one or more of these links lead to a fake Twitter session time out page that gave instructions to sign in again. These links are also users that appear on Twitter. There is no information on the profiles. If you encounter of receive a message or see a posted tweet from any of these links do not click on them or follow any instructions.
Not being completed satisfied with just changing our password to correct the damage that had been done. We contacted tinyurl directly and notified them of what had occurred. All of the urls have been terminated due to the violation of their policies.

I am writing this blog post to let others who may have victims and everyone else to know about this. This has been a very frustrating, disappointing, learning experience. No one wants to be a victim. It makes you angry that someone out there could do such a thing. When you are a victim take every precaution to protest yourself. Dont just change your password. You should also run an anti-virus software, Report violations and violators. Other social media site users have also been affected at one time or another with hackers stealing people information. As I sit here writing this post, I cant help but wonder what type of damage has been done to our reputation. We have worked very hard to create and build a family business based on honesty, respect, and integrity for all to enjoy. Dont be just a victim. Fight back. Pay close attention to details. Such as the tinyurls given to us by our followers in their messages. Do everything you can to protect yourself, report violations and violators. Spend the word to others. So that no one else becomes a victim. We never saw any of the posted tweets. Without Twitter and our followers letting us know. We would not have known.
