Time management refers to managing the time in a day such that it is used to its best. The current scenario is very competitive. 1. Manage your work not the time: It is important to understand that time management is actually nothing but a myth. What so ever you do, you can neither increase the number of hours in a day nor can you pause the time. All that you have to manage is your work schedule. Although the term states time management, yet you dont have to manage it. Just manage your work and take your career a level fast track.

2. Make an efficient to do list: Making a to do list is a very common technique used by many, in order to manage time. However, smart people dont just make a to do list, they rather make an efficient to do list. To do so, prioritize your works and put them under three different categories named A, B and C. Keep tasks that are urgent and important in category A. Under B category, keep task that are important but not so urgent and in category C keep tasks that are neither very urgent nor so important. This will help you in completing your tasks according to the priority.

Gone are the days when people would create the to do list with the help of a pen and paper. These days, mobile phones, tablets, laptops and many other electronic gadgets are used very effectively and efficiently for creating and using to do list.

3. Seek for online tips: Seek for online tips on time management. If it matters a lot to you then buy an online training course on effective time management and enjoy some very effective sessions. These online course help a lot in scheduling day to day tasks and helps the learner work very efficiently making the most out of his/her distinct time management skills.

4. Set deadlines: It is very important to set deadlines for every task you have to perform. Deadlines are nothing but a fixed time limit by which a task must be completed. This helps you to begin the next task on time. Those who fail to set a deadline often tend to stretch the time allotted for a particular task and affect the subsequent tasks.

5. Implementing you plans: A well thought plan that is not well executed is like a dead dud. It is very important to execute your plan as you have planned. Making efficient to do list, seeking tips, planning a schedule etc wont help you unless you implement your plans effectively.
