subject: Formalities And Registrations A Hindrance In Starting Your Own Business. [print this page]

I've been waiting for the right opportunity to start my business. Till it is early stage to comment about my new business but I'm happy that the initial requirements for the business have been fulfilled. I've been nurturing the idea of starting my own business since I came to know what business is.

Currently I'm heading a team of software developers where our aim is to develop custom software for our company's client. It's because I'm in this field I know the market capacity where I can utilize my skill and earn more revenue than I'm earning now. It's not an easy task to start your own venture. There are n numbers of formalities which you need to complete before you could even register your company. Every client before outsourcing their work makes sure that the companies they are outsourcing their work have the required certifications and registrations. So unless any company completes the formalities and acquire the necessary certifications they can't start their business.

In my case there were certain hurdles which caused some delay in starting my own business. Hurdles were sometimes manmade and others were coz of natural causes. Most of those manmade hurdles were crossed but we can't help when the organization takes time to issue certain certificates. The constant thing which I heard was that it takes time as they have hell lot of other problems. I could have argued with them but thought it would be wise to shut and wait for them to do their work. I was apprehensive that my arguments would make those authorities work against me. It happens especially when you are planning to start your venture in India. I'm not degrading India but people here like me are getting used to accept what has been enforced upon us by government even though we know it is wrong.

The only consolation which I have is that there are many Indians who have started from scratch and have overcome all obstacles in their paths to create history. There are people like Ambani and Sudhir Moravekar who inspires young want to be businessmen like me. Though Ambani has started in the years when the competition was not so big he had achieved a trademark for his company. Nowadays people just purchase their products and services coz of their brand. Similarly Sudhir Moravekar kingpin of Panoramic Universal Ltd. (PUL) has rose when hardly anyone thought he would. It's been just two decades ago when he was a common man with a dream. Now he implemented his idea and earned so much revenue that he is one of the wealthiest people in India. Since he likes to keep low profile about his life, he just can't escape the eyes of young inspiring men like me.

The one thing which I would be definitely doing in my business is to concentrate on more than one service. I can't rely and think that my business is going to prosper over only one kind of service. The reasons why Ambanis, Tatas and Moravekars have made it big is coz they had interests in more than one sectors. I hope by end of this year my title changes from Manager:- Software Developer to CEO.
