English is a global languageEnglish is a global language. It is called so because a majority of population all over the world understands this language. According to a survey 2 out of 10 people all around the world speak, write, read or at the least understand English. In more than 50 countries across the world, English is used as an official language. In the present scenario when the world is coming closer everyday with the help of science and technology, having a good command over this global language is very important. Millions of students all over the world learn English every year. However they strive very hard while doing so. Below is a list of some of the major problems faced by students all over the world, in learning English as a second language-

Hesitance: Many youngsters and adults realize that many people around them speak, read and write English with poise but they are not able to do so. They wish to learn English but the only thing that acts as a hindrance is their inner consciousness disguised as hesitance. They hesitate in going for a coaching class to learn language in public. This is a major reason why many people dont learn English, despite having a desire to learn it.

Busy schedule: There are many students and professionals who wish to learn language but are not able to do so because of their tight busy schedule. They cant seek out spare time out of their busy schedule to go to a traditional classroom and learn English. For such students the concept of online education has proved to be a boon. Through online language training a student can learn English sitting at home whenever he/she gets spare time.

Typical translation technique for teaching: Most of the teachers all around the world use a typical translation technique for teaching English language to the students. They translate the sentences and words from their native language to English in order to teach students. It is very poor practice. Students adopt this practice and commit blunders while speaking, reading and writing English. Teachers must teach students about the importance of sentence fragmentation.

Deep sea of vocabulary and grammatical rules: Many students start pursuing language training. After sometime when they come to know about gigantic vocabulary and enormous grammatical rules, they perceive the English language as a deep sea and fear of drowning in it. Hence they often accept their defeat and quit learning. Students must understand that the more efforts they would put in the more fruitful would the outcome be.

Less practice: Many students sail through the language training very smoothly yet they find it difficult to speak in English. The reason behind is lack of practice. Although students know about various grammar rules thoroughly and have a decent vocabulary base yet they find it difficult to speak fluent English. Such students must often interact with other fluent English speakers. The more they practice the better they would get. Pronunciation plays a very important role in speaking English and hence students must be aware of correct pronunciation of every word.
