subject: Marriage Celebrations [print this page] Is it about exploring? This is what many asks me, when I pack my back for an outing. I dont know really. I travel to various places not for exploring but for fun. I just enjoy being in places.
I just want to share my experience when I backpacked for Rajasthan with some friends. We were attending one of my friends wedding. We started from Mumbai in Jaipur Superfast express. We were supposed to reach Jaipur next day by 12. We had a connecting train from there till Dundlodh. Together we were six friends, visiting a place far away from home and all of us were excited. We boarded the train and started the journey with prayers.
We were also accompanied by our friends (Grooms) uncle who sponsored our trip till there. He was in some other compartments along with some relatives. All the way till Jaipur, we travelled as a King. We had every snacks bought by the pantry person. Dinner was lavishly enjoyed starting with appetizers till deserts. We also had one pet bottle each of Pepsi for the night. Just cant imagine we spent around 6 grand in about 6-8 hours on food. Next day early morning the trouble begun, Eunuchs boarded the train at Ratlam, as usual they started their forced begging. If someone denied they hurled abuses at them and ultimately they had to some amount to them. As it was getting hot we all were standing at different places. One of the Eunuchs came to us and none of us were ready to give them any money. We asked them to go forward but instead of that they started physically abusing some of us. We had among us a short tempered guy, who immediately removed his leather belt and started proceeding towards Eunuchs. The moment they saw him coming towards them they fled our compartment and they didnt showed up till we reached Jaipur.
The marriage was held grandly and since he was from one of the wealthiest family. It was similar to the Haldi function held in Panoramic resort near Panvel. Since the family is one of the most reputed even in Mumabi, they managed to host the function in Panoramic Universal Limited (PUL) managed resorts in Karnala. They would have spent billion rupees to make the event grand. They indeed choose the best resort to host the party. It was enduring and thrilling for all us to be in such events.
