3. Never chew gum or other food like candies and others while you talk over the phone. Just like when you are talking to somebody personally, it is completely unethical.

4. When you are talking to someone over the phone, avoid typing or shuffling papers. The are very distracting. Besides, they may imply that you are not listening to the person on the other line.

5. Gently put down the phone when you need to. You should put it down gently so you will not create any loud and annoying slamming sound which the one you are speaking with will definitely hear.

12. When you are to make random calls, take into account the time of other people.Figure out the best hour to make the call. It would not be nice if you call when people are having a lunch break or having a nap.

13. If you hear any kind of technical noises on your end, express your apologies. Inform the one you are speaking with if you need to call later or if you need to reschedule the call. Call for telephone services once you have set another appointment.
