I do like this iron set. The splashes of deep red sparkle in the sun as the bag is on the course and the tiny little diablo emblems in the cavity add to the depth even more. The topline of the club matches that of the sole and has a sandblasted type of look to it that works well in keeping the sun from producing blinding light off of the chrome. The sole is slightly thick, but no more than most game improvement (GI) irons and has a large number for identifying purposes on it.
These Callaway Diablo Edge Irons provide increased distance without compromising feel or performance. And the lower, deeper center of gravity was used in the Callaway Diablo Edge irons. This allows the sweet spot to be more accessible at lower impact locations. The end result of this is longer, more consistent shots and improved accuracy. Most amateurs hit the ball on the lower portion of the clubface so the lower center of gravity is perfect. Very accurate, very forgiving, very pleasent in the swing. Doesn't force you to give power but let you enjoy an "easy does it" feeling with complete control over direction and distance. I get good distance when I do my part.
