subject: Top Causes Of Car Accidents [print this page]

Many people are afraid of flying to the stage that they would avoid it entirely or use sedating substances to dull the sensation for being on air. But the truth of the matter is street accidents have higher statistics than airplane crashes. As weve turned into a very industrialized and technological environment, being inside of a land vehicle is just as common as any human ritual for instance eating and slumbering. This is the reason a growing number of motor vehicle collisions are reported everyday.

F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote in The Great Gatsby that, It takes two to make an accident. But, actually, as our society advances, so do the unsaid rules around it. Nowadays so many diverse things could cause car accidents.

Here are a few causes of car accidents that are not specifically in order of rank.

Drunk Driving

With the advent of MADD or Mothers Against Drunk Driving, US states came up with more stringent laws against drunk driving. Fact is less and less accidents on account of drunk driving are being reported. Even night clubs and pubs are more alert of possible drunk drivers by having solutions such as calling a taxi for you when you're too inebriated to drive a car.

Nevertheless, in spite of these precautionary methods, drunk driving is still one of the top factors that cause car accidents. Given that there are obstinate people in denial of the level of their intoxication, well never see drunk driving on a manageable level.

Speeding

As with anything, haste makes waste. And in car accidents brought on by going way over the posted speed limit, speeding makes waste of lives. Its terrible enough that you're risking your life whenever you over-speed in certain thrill-seeking adventure of yours, but also you are involving other parties in your car accident waiting to happen. Lack of control is the number one problem of racing. And driving a car is all about being in control.

Car Breakdown

We've been aware of cars and trucks getting recalled by their makers due to a defect in some areas of their motor vehicles. Despite the many innovations and breakthroughs in the name of safe practices, human and computer snags continue to be very common.

But car makers are not the only one at fault in the breakdown of cars. Owners themselves are equally as responsible of causing cars accidents. Infrequent upkeep checks can cause brake failure, thinning of tire threads, over and under tire inflation, damaged taillights and broken headlights. Car owners are just as accountable for the upkeep of their cars as the manufacturers are to the vehicles they sell.

Aggressive/Reckless Drivers

The NYS Police brand these descriptions as the type of aggressors on the streets. People who change lanes in an exceedingly freewheeling way are a type of hostile driving. This is particularly more enhanced whenever they dont use their signal lights to indicate moving lanes. Tailgating is also a careless act as it's impossible to ever predict what the car in front will do. Tailgating is a senseless feat that actually achieves nothing but auto accidents.
