subject: What New Releases Are Coming For The Nintendo Wii [print this page]

Among the variety of consoles that are now available to the public, the Nintendo Wii has got to be one the UKs favourites. Not only does it provide fun for all members of the family, it offers a unique gaming experience that uses gesture technology to fully immerse the user into the game play. The wireless controller, known as the Wii remote, allows people to actively participate in the game play by getting up and moving around.

There are a number of advantages to this style of play. As mentioned before it contributes to immersive game play, while presenting a style of gaming that promotes physical fitness, though it might come at the price of a broken TV as many Wii owners might have discovered. The fitness factor that comes with the Wii is actually quite significant when you consider the fact that the UK, much like the US, is potentially looking at a future as an obese nation.

So far there are quite a broad range of games out for the Nintendo Wii, including classics such as Mario Kart, but as no doubt many of you are looking to the future the question on everyones mind is what does Nintendo have in store for us next. When it comes to new game releases for the Nintendo Wii there is actually quite a wide range of genres and titles that are destined to hit stores near you in the next few months, so it is likely that there will something for everyone to enjoy. However, many of these games might be in high demand so if you want to guarantee yourself a copy of a particular game then it could be worth pre-ordering it in advance, this way you can have it delivered and be playing before most other Wii owners.

Here are a few of the games that are due to be released for the Wii:

-Men in Black: Alien Crisis With the new Men in Black film recently reaching cinemas this game has been perfectly timed. In this third person shooter players will be given the choice of playing as one of the Men in Black, and then given the task of eradicating aliens hiding throughout the levels. There are an array of futuristic weapons, and even the famous memory eraser, available for players to use too.

-The Amazing Spider-Man Again this game release has cleverly timed to coincide with the release of the film. This third person game allows the player to swing through the streets of New York, fighting crime one punch at a time.
