But over at my DigitalTVDojo blog, one of the things I like to do from time to time is to do "speed runs" on the various services available (It is a nerd thing.) since there ARE differences - even when they are small. Check it out because I also fill you in on a little key that may save yourself you hundreds of dollars when you get either company, so it is certainly worth your time and effort - until you make like a thousand dollars an hour or something.)

It was simple to verify what Comcast was saying, because I have the company myself. I went over to Bandwidthplace.com to see if they were filled with it, and I'm pleased to say that they are not. Actually, based on Bandwidthplace, my relationship is smoking at 7.6 Mbps, which is even faster than Comcast officially says it is (cool!). What does this mean in actuality? I will download a typical tune that's around four minutes in under one second. Fairly lovely.
A different approach is taken by Time Warner. While figures are placed by Comcast out at you, Time Warner really shows you how fast their support is. You're still planning to be downloading large records in seconds. And against a typical dial-up connection, the evaluation is completely stupid! And with films, for example, it is even crazier - units will be taken seven by a typical video show to obtain with a 56k modem, and only seven SECONDS with Time Warner. It is really put by that in perspective for me personally.
