In the early morning of a spring day, beautiful weekend in late March, I met with club Hiking TLC, led and organized by Kinneman Eric, from the lending company TLC, in the east of meeting site of Phoenix, in the United States 60, and the road Sossaman in Mesa. From 06:00, after all 35 members had arrived, and after receiving a brief presentation by Eric on the rise for the day ahead and what to expect perhaps in the region of the convoy and parking is limited, and we are all in our cars, and was on our way to the convoy Reavis, located in the device Remote Control, Superstition Wilderness east.
Journey began the day with us, and the tendency of some 29 mostly adventurous way to the convoy Reavis by heading north on the road to Idaho for about 2 miles until we got to 88 riyals, which is more popularly known as the "Trail Apache and Scenic Byway" historic. After a wonderful on the banks of the lake and the scenic valley, we continued our journey on the Trail Apache and 6:45 and we arrived at the small town of flat tortilla, where is located a stone's throw two miles, on the sidewalk, depending on the type of Apache trail becomes a dirt road all. It was highly recommended, but not a requirement to have at least a way to do this trip and the C drive. However, you can make it in the normal car, as it did before, but you should be ready to add more time for your trip and the trip will also need to take it much more slowly than you would in C or 4WD.
Even from the flat tortilla, and all the dirt roads, and projects Trail Apache more of myth and ground up to my favorite, and scenic incredibly, Fish Creek Hill, where from there the road narrows to single lane with the arrival of 2 traffic route, venturing down directly for a total of 1500 foot drop by the time you reach the bottom. Wow! Once successfully submitted, and down to the bottom of the valley beautiful fish Creek, we stopped and parked on the side of the road and take a short break, gather up our members, and then got in our cars, and continued.
Continuation of Fish Creek, and complained most of the writing, and it is estimated that about 7.2 miles by car to reach the convoy Reavis. I did not measure it on that day, but I did not take note that it was not just a few short minutes later, by 7:15 am just past mile marker 227, and we saw a sign for the beginning of the convoy Reavis on the right side. We have the right in the 212 FR and then led a winding mountain 2.9 miles until we reached finally in the convoy, Reavis and the parking area by 7:30 am. There is much to our surprise and relief, we found in the parking area is limited to be completely discharged and thankfully, does not have a problem and there is enough space to park all of our cars.
We parked, packed up, and it was at 7:50 in the morning, after a shot Photo Collection fast, and that we had hit the trail, Trail Farm Reavis, # 109. Trail Reavis, in fact, a dirt road is, is a long way that leads out to a farm Reavis historic home of settler Anglo-first in the mountains of myth, Elisha Reavis, who appeared in 1800 has grown and sold products in the mining sector, local communities, until one day found in the dead and buried with him right where he found, on the trail!
Start again from the convoy, Reavis, and the beginning of our journey and the journey on the path of Reavis # 109, the views of Apache Lake and ground down under the myth is absolutely wonderful and breathtaking! Trail begins immediately before boarding to rise moderately with beautiful views of Lake Apache and 4 tops off to the left and the north east of the country. At the same time, forward directly in front of you and out to the distance to the right, you also have really beautiful views of mountains and hills that are wild backcountry wilderness of Eastern myth, which is much higher than that rising from the wilderness of Western myth.
We made our way quickly along the path support the transition, reaches a height of the steady rise, while thoroughly enjoying wild superstition absolutely gorgeous view all around us. After nearly about 3.5 miles and we got to our turn off for the Falls Reavis, stoned remarkably narrow path and stimulate path where we traveled to the left and headed east, directly on the grassy hill and continued so to adventure in the wild secluded Eastern myth. Names to this effect "unmaintained" multiple, ranging from "trail spur is unknown" to "Trail gap Reavis # 117". Whichever is the case, I found the stop to be placed well and the narrow trail to be sophisticated and easy to follow.
Suspended from the Trail of Reavis 109 and now started our journey and a trip on the spur along the trail, we continued to steadily rise still more and more even in height. With stunning views at all from Lake Apache and the tops of four behind us now, before us and outside of the right we have now and spectacular views of the Dome of the castle, as well as the myths surrounding the East as beautiful as we continue to pressure to make the rise we have to rise until we reached the saddle and wide to be issued outside of our journey intense so far in 4675 feet in height! Wow, what an incredible journey so far! However, after taking a short break to rest, so to us, and we were ready to continue to the next part of the journey of adventure, which makes out a very sharp and intense down again, down to the Reavis Creek!
From the top of the saddle at an altitude of 4675 feet, slowly and carefully, step by step, and fell on our way to the bottom, respectively, and down, and down further still on the rise, and we also support a sharp and narrow path swerved to the left, I went around Mount lime, then passed by the spring of lime, and switch down after more until we reached the basin straight and level rice. After passage by the basin, rice, came to the first creek crossing, Maple Spring, which we have been advised to cross. After only a short ways from a little bushwhacking, and finally arrived in the second creek, Reavis Creek, and on the distance traveled an estimated total so far, 6 miles!
Down once in the bottom of the creek Reavis, spur trail we were for a long time afterwards, disappeared and we note that there are other people around now, and some backpackers who were camped along the left side of the creek Reavis. A little tired by now, we stopped to ask if we were still on track to reach the Reavis Falls and was assured we were in fact dead on, and if we continue to follow up the Creek, we only need to search for a built along the Cairns way that will lead and guide us all the way to the falls, where the rest of our group already.
Although we felt that we were "almost there", he continued on an adventure! Now we had an incredible journey in the -mile along the bottom of the creek Reavis, climbs, over rocks and humungous rocks, bushwhacking through thick brush, and vegetation and trees that fill the floor of the creek. Finally, after nearly a journey for an hour, we started to run into other members of the TLC Club Hiking including Kinneman Eric, who was already in the fall for about an hour, and along with a few others from the front of the team, and started making way back from before this time. Advised to us by Eric that we were in fact only a short 200 feet away from the intervention now. After a few minutes, by approximately 11:00, and we made at the end of the matter to the Falls Reavis, and wow, what an incredible journey and the challenge it was and what an incredible, to see a scene! Although the water flow was only in about half of that day, having missed the peak flow even though he was still early spring, when he fled the mountain is said to be at its peak, and was still a really amazing experience to see. And who ever think that such a huge waterfall and in this way were found even in the midst of superstition? It was really wonderful and amazing, and definitely worth the trip long and difficult and intense had been taken to get there as well.
After taking a short break only 40 minutes at the bottom to enter for lunch soon and take some pictures, we knew that the day the heat fast and the journey and return journey once again and will be very long and difficult, so we packed quickly back again and 11:40 we left the Reavis Boulder Falls and began our movement and the return journey bushwhacking through the -mile Creek Reavis, until one hour later, we make the left on the spur trail and began our ascent up the steep again.
It was now expected that he had exceeded the afternoon and expectations for the day in late March for up to 90 low. Thus, the temperature and heating quickly as we started the hardest part and most challenging adventure to us that the sharp rise and rise again on the rise, and believe me, it was the brutality of the moment too! Although many of us at the end of the back of the pack had to slow it down to take additional comfort to keep from getting overheated too, and slowly but surely, we continued to march on until we got finally to the top again, and the saddle at an altitude trek 4675 feet, then from there, as well as to make our way back to Trail Reavis # 109 junction. After hanging right at the crossroads, and after the Trail Reavis for 3.5 miles, and finally arrived back in the convoy Reavis again by 3:45 pm, where we waited for 45 minutes or so until the members of TLC remaining made it back safely from 4 : 30 approx.
In all, what an incredible journey and adventure! According to the GPS system we have, and we had a distance of hiking total RT 15.1 kilometers, with the increase in the total increase of 3600 feet and that's what we've done in approximately from 8.0 hours, on a hot day and very toasty 90 degrees too! The high ground very remote, and a real "balls to the wall" The challenge is due to its length to the distance and very high gain, then add to this that the mile from the category 3 and 4 category Boulder level of mobility and bushwhacking, and will raise definitely test your abilities! And it, too! Described by Kinneman Eric also raise serious and difficult, and one of the heights the top 5 most difficult in all of Arizona, along with the gorgeous scenery backcountry wilderness into an oasis waterfall hidden giant, according to Eric, this increase really does have it all! Even if you're ready for adventure and be incredible to get the "balls to the wall" intense real challenge, then I recommend you check out the adventure Reavis Falls hike, in the wilderness myth East, Arizona!
