In buying a new home, one of the hardest tasks that you have to do is to pack your stuff. This process seems to be daunting especially if you have a lot of things to pack and prepare. However, if you are geared with appropriate knowledge on what to prepare, it will be a fast and easy task that you will accomplish in no time.

Here are some helpful tips that you might want to consider in packing your home without spending too much time:

Wear shoes with full foot coverage and good arch support to avoid injuries and to promote balance while packing. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes as well.

Prepare your supplies like boxes in different sizes, packing tape, black markers, bubble wrap for fragile items, trash bags, wardrobe box for each person in the house, and a first aid kit in case of accidents.

In choosing boxes for packing, make sure that you will get some with dividers for packing alcohol and other liquid like olive oil and vinegar.

Make your packing list. Before you move to your new home, you must prepare a list of stuff that you need to pack a week before. That way, you can still have enough time to organize everything.

Know what shouldnt be packed. In moving, you need to make sure that you will only bring your essentials. Do not bring stuff that you will no longer use. Throw away old newspapers, boxes, or other stuff that wont be needed anymore. If you want, you can even put up a garage sale a week before you move.

To avoid confusion, categorize each box and name it accordingly. Make sure that you will put all clothes in one box, all kitchen stuff on the other, and so on.

Put all important items, documents, cash boxes, and keys inside your hand carry bag. Keep them safe and never let them out of your sight.

Keep your keys handy. That way, you will never need to find for them once you reached your new home.

Make sure that packed boxes should only weigh less than 50 lbs so they can be carried and moved easily.

Heavy items should always be placed at the bottom.

Seal off your boxes properly to make sure that the contents are safe from falling off.

Clothes should not be removed from dressers aside from built in closets of course.

Create an inventory of boxes and list all the content so you can find everything easily.

Label Load Last, Unload First on your essentials box which contains food, emergency kits, and lights.

Tape all movable and detachable items like screws, bolts, and etc.

Always keep your tools handy in detaching things like showers, lights, and etc.

These are just some reminders and tips that you should consider in moving to your new home. Remember to always be organized so you will not waste time looking for something that you need.
