subject: Brooklyn Woman Allegedly Dwi When She Crashed Through House [print this page]

A Brooklyn woman has been charged with DWI after driving her car through the house of a Long Island resident. There is no word on whether or not she has, as of yet, contacted a Brooklyn DWI lawyer, but she will most assuredly need one.

Twenty-one-year-old Brooklyn resident Sophia Andersons Mercedes convertible went through the home of 96-year-old Helen Indiere with such force that it ripped the stove out of the house and left a Mercedes-sized hole at both the front and the back of the home. The vehicle eventually came to rest in Indieres backyard, surrounded by the debris it had drug along its path.

The driver was arrested and charged with DWI. She reportedly refused to submit to a breathalyzer test at the site, and the police could not draw blood because, despite the extensive damage to Indieres home and Andersons vehicle, there were not any serious injuries present.

Anderson will undoubtedly need the assistance and expertise of a Brooklyn DWI lawyer since authorities allege that she was traveling at least 40-50 miles per hour before plowing through the house. Indiere was asleep in another room. Neither she nor the home-health aide, who was also asleep inside the home, were injured. A male passenger in Andersons vehicle was also unharmed, which is surprising given the fact that the Mercedes came to a stop atop some bushes when its forward progress was stopped by a huge cypress tree.

Though few people drive their vehicles through homes or buildings of any kind, many Brooklyn residents face DWI charges every year. If you are ever arrested for DWI, it is important to contact a Brooklyn DWI lawyer as soon as possible. Not only can your DWI lawyer offer assistance in getting out of jail, but the sooner your DWI lawyer can begin to build your defense case, the better off you will be.

In some instances, the evidence for a DWI conviction is so limited or weak, that your lawyer will be able to convince the prosecution to either lower or drop the charges against you. However, even when that is not an option, a DWI lawyer will have the experience necessary to build a strong defense so that you can get the best possible outcome to your case.

A DWI conviction can have serious consequences, not just now, but well into the future. It can affect current and potential job opportunities. And, it can most definitely ruin your reputation. Do not take any chances. If you want to beat the DWI charge that youre facing, contact a local DWI lawyer today.
