subject: Network Marketing Times - Changing The Face Of Internet Marketing [print this page]

Over the years network marketing times have changed. Network marketing has taken off since the advent of the internet. Social networking has taken it even one step further by giving marketers a way to gather information, target markets, and reach a greater number of people.

Network marketing is simple. This type of marketing does not deal with recruiting new members to a company or provide varying levels of compensation depending on how many people you sign up. It is simply a way of distributing information and obtaining new potential markets through an already existing network.

Network marketing is very similar to a social network. If you look at a social network, you have your circle of friends and each of them have their circle of friends and so forth. If you market to each one of your friends, you in turn gain access to each one of their circles. If you successfully market to one of the people in your friends circle, you now have access to their circle. In this manner, you have an ever growing potential market of customers that are readily available to you.

Network marketing used to be significantly more difficult. Thanks to the internet however, network marketing times have changed and you can make effective use of this type of marketing for both products and services. Social networking sites have made it possible to reach a wider group of people. The internet itself has grown and now with standard internet marketing techniques you can expand your network on an international scale.

It is important to keep in mind that network marketing is similar in many respects to MLM marketing. In fact, it can be considered a type of MLM marketing. However, there are some differences and when you are looking into network marketing it is important to understand the difference. Network marketing is a form of distribution marketing. You are selling directly to individuals you know or individuals that found you through people who have purchased from you or know you.

There is no additional compensation and compensation is usually a certain percentage of the sale price, though depending on the types of companies you are working with and the types of products you are selling this percentage may go up as sales increase. Network marketing times have changed considerably.

Thanks to the internet, it is not difficult to collect a large group of people for your initial network. You no longer have to rely on friends and family to pass information along and hope for the best when it comes to network marketing. You can now reach out to your friends and family and to their friends and their family all through the internet. This has changed the way many people conduct marketing and business itself. Network marketing no longer has to be the challenge it once was. You can now incorporate this type of marketing in all aspects of your marketing strategy.
