subject: Improving Your Network Marketing Recruiting [print this page]

Most people in network marketing find that the recruiting process tends to be difficult. While it would be ideal for a person to go out and sign up a hundred people in a single day, that usually isnt the way that it works. Usually, you can sign up a few people a day and some of them are going to be true gems, while others might actually leave you scratching your head.

One of the problems many people make is that they offer far too much upfront. While we love to tell people our own experiences, some of the struggles we personally went through can turn them off. Instead, you will want to devote no more than 10 minutes to a person on their initial meeting to give them what they need to determine if the next step is the best choice. If a person doesnt bite in that time, you need to move on to a new prospect.

Another important thing for you to do to improve your network marketing recruiting is for you to be prepared for the hard questions. Ideally, each interaction we have would go according to script, but most people are going to want some peace of mind and will try to find the negative in the marketing program you are in. You need to be prepared to honestly tell them how much you are making and why the program you are in is different from the others. When they call it a pyramid scheme, you will want to provide them with realistic reasons why that wouldnt be the case. Giving them peace of mind with prompt and precise answers will build trust and results.

Of course, you will also need to be prepared for getting to know a person when you have an interaction with them. Never cut down to business when you are interacting with a person you have just met. Instead, give them a minute to talk about who they are and what their needs may be. In addition to this, pay close attention to what they are saying and learn to build a connection with them. You both may enjoy the local baseball team and taking a moment to talk about something that they like, lets them know you are listening to them and value what they have to say. After all, this is going to be a partnership that will require open communication and they should feel comfortable talking to you at all times.

Finally, understand that each phone call and interaction you have could be a future prospect for your network marketing recruiting. Just because the answer is no in the moment, doesnt mean a few weeks down the road they wont call you back to learn more about your business. Everyone has an off day and you will want to ensure that you keep an open door for these individuals to come back to you at a time that works for them.

With these simple steps, you can actually improve your success rate with your MLM. Just make sure you remain understanding and friendly at all times and you will find you draw in more recruits than those try to push to close a deal.
