subject: A Disney Hotel with a Little Something for Everyone [print this page] I've been to Disney World four times in my life. At 23 years old, that seems like a lot. That's one visit nearly every six years. Some might say that's a little crazy. Some might think nothing of it. But, regardless, in my four visits, I've seen Disney World through the eyes of an awestruck little boy and an adventurous adult. Additionally, those same eyes have seen four different Disney hotels. However, it wasn't until my last visit that I stayed at a Disney resort that catered to guests of every age, The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
Now, before I get ahead of myself, I know what you're thinking. There are dozens upon dozens of Disney hotels, so how could I know this is the best? Well, of course, since I haven't seen every hotel, I don't know, per se. But, then again, who really has stayed in every single hotel? An argument to unveil "the best" Disney hotel is, well, rather pointless. But by my account, The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has something to offer for each and every guest, regardless of age. And here's why.
Walt Disney World is great. You'd have to be Cruella de Vil to not be enchanted by Disney's intoxicatingly magical atmosphere. If you're visiting Disney World, I suggest you don't miss out on this; stay in the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort. The Swan and Dolphin puts you smack-dab in the middle. Located just off Disney's Boardwalkmodeled after that of Coney Island and Atlantic Cityyou're literally a free boat ride away from Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM). You can get to any of the parks within minutesfor free. Your kid's will be in Disney World heaven.
However, for anyone over the age of 12, five days of Disney World might start to take its toll. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of Disney World can make you feel like you need a vacation from your vacation. This is where the Swan and Dolphin impressed me. While we were, essentially, at the epicenter of Disney World, it didn't always feel like it. The Swan and Dolphin is a Disney hotel in a world of its own. Its serene location on the edge of Crescent Lake combined with its elegant dcor took me away from the buzz of Disney World and placed me in a tranquil resort. Aside from Space Mountain, the Swan and Dolphin allows guests to enjoy golf, tennis, pools, a white sand beach, restaurants, and nightlife.
There's more than meets the eye when you travel to Disney World. And while its magical ambiance sweeps through your body, sometimes it can leave you with a headache. The Swan and Dolphin is a Disney resort that lets you get just enough of that intoxicating magic while also allowing you to kick back and enjoy a Florida vacation.
