subject: Ice Cream Vans Meltdown In London, New Emission Regulations [print this page]

This is not the time to be the ice cream vendor in London these days. Transport for London has a new legislation for large trucks and minibuses as of January 3, 2012. I am independent and have made numerous requests, with my colleagues struggling with what to do with the modernization of vehicles we have ice cream or the purchase and installation of approved filter and consistently. Most of us have found very difficult to afford a new van to convert because they can cost tens of thousands of pounds or more, especially if you want to buy a converter built professionally.

We talked to exhaust the suppliers listed on the website of the TFL and we had a lot of conflicting information and technology. We also learned from several sources that there is an ideal application for the ice cream van and we were probably the best vehicles for sale in London and replaced by the EURO 3 or higher and above, which are then inconsistent. Filters can not cost up to 5000 , 5000 pounds of the system, and most if not all of these systems were not has been tried and tested in the light trucks that are inactive for up to ten hours a day. Our applications are unique to a certain extent, because we are often in one place and idle for a full day (ie, events and pitch). Ice cream trucks in need of engines for power option or soft machine will cut the engine and only used in harvesting vanilla ice cream.

Some of the systems and probably cheaper base while locked in a trade, and there were some systems that should spawn a whist renewed leadership, but you should go for a drive along the old highway to erase. There was little that could be renewed at a standstill, but we felt that we were not fully convinced, and can come in trouble in the summer months, and looks forward to replace the exhaust of a new or completely replace the truck. We did not have a great season, and was really a series of depression this year, but we felt that we would be probably safer to invest in new converts rather walk down the road from inadvertently installing exhaust.

In recent years, we might have to comply with requests for 4 euros so it makes sense to buy, that would be consistent if the application of the following laws. The legacy of this is likely to be a lot less ice cream suppliers trading within the area of TFL or within M25. I know that some of the older generation of ice cream vendors who have decided to use their vans for sale and call it a day.
