While transferring the call to me operator told me that she is afraid that my weekend has been spoiled. It was quite true. I have just finished my tour to Asia and I have planned to spend the weekend with my family. Everything has been spoiled. I could not control my anger. Being an important city, almost all major airlines such as Air France and British Airways are operating flights to San Francisco. Without wasting more time, I rushed to the airport from my home. As my wife has prepared the bag before my arrival I did not have to spend time for packing also. Catching one of the last minutes flights I reached San Francisco the very next day.
It took three or four days for me to resolve the issue and still I got a few days more as my company instructed me to return in some cheap flights. The route is always busy and I had to wait for three or four days more to get a confirmed ticket to my city. Anyway, I took it as a blessing in disguise as I could know more about this city during those days.
Though the city is thriving nowadays in business and finance, it has a strong heritage of art and culture too. Various museums such as Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Young Museum and the Asian Art Museum clearly depict the affection of the denizens towards art and culture. Though I have only three days, I tried to cover maximum number of such museums. I know that my tour will not provide enough enjoyment for me as I was in hurry. Still I was eager to see those museums.
The people of San Francisco are very much fond of performing arts too. There are quite a number of orchestras and ballet troupes and they all perform at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Art Center frequently. I was lucky to witness one such program. The venue itself is a good example for artistic talent. The attractive architecture looked more attractive with designer paintings and colorful decorative lighting. There I met some local people and they told me that such programs will be held at the same place as well as at various other venues also frequently. The life in San Francisco is with full of music and dance and they cannot live without those. I could not enjoy the whole of the city in three days. Hence I decided to return to this city on a personal tour. As cheap tickets to San Francisco are available, it will not be a costly affair.
