subject: Sap Business One Russia And Its Combinations With 1c Accounting [print this page]

1C Accounting does the job by printing fiscal reports, as well as regular payments to funds including pension. It is common practice to run Payroll in-house and this is where 1S also works as Payroll is associated with compliance documents. However it might be less positioned to be compatible with Corporate ERP consolidated financial reporting in the headquarters assuming that you work for multinational firm. It is not a bid deal to export data but the question is rather in unification of ERP applications in all international subdivisions. Business One might be a way to go in your situation. Lets take a look on how tandem could be implemented and its interactions:

1.Pure ERP transactions where we assume that there is no government reporting exposure. These should be considered to be entered in SAP B1. These components are important part in consolidated Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements as well as they are subject for corporate internal audit. Assuming that all foreign subsidiaries are on SB1 then there is little overhead in IT to design consolidated financial statements as well as open data to internal auditors. We are talking here about inventory restocking, transfers, sales and shipping cost.

2.ERP documents should be transferred to 1C as GL entries. Here you should be able to print quarterly and annual tax agency reports

3.Payroll. Logical place to run payroll is 1S as it is covered by tracing changes in legislation. Then payroll related GL transactions are moved to 1C Bukhgalteria

Lets now take questions from internet auditoria:

Q. We are Moscow office and Siberian mine and we are part of multinational Canadian corporation. We understand that there are issues related to Russian legislation and fiscal reporting. Head office wants us to locate local consulting firm in Moscow. Our concern is where to purchase software licenses and host the server

A. We believe that these questions should be decided with participation of your IT people. Good idea is centralized hosting on the same SQL Server in Toronto and opening client interface via Citrix. You may consider Cloud scenarios. It is possible to host server in Moscow or somewhere in Yakutia assuming that internet connection is decent from there. Then you will need to establish the way to ship GL exports probably as text in CSV format to your headquarters for transaction level consolidation. Licenses should be acquired in the country where you have acquired them originally. If you have relations with SAP in the United States or Canada then consider acquiring additional licenses if required there

Q. Is it possible to eliminate 1C completely?

A. It depends on the comfort level of your accounting folks. If they know how to compile government reporting in Excel then the answer is yes

Q. Is B1 translated to Russian and accepts data entry in Cyrillic letters?

A. Yes and you should see the interface in illustrations to this paper

Q. If interface is in Russian then how do you expect us conduct internal audit as auditors speak English only?

A. You can switch language to American English or associate default language with user ID. Of course there are additional recommendations such as template chart of accounts for example across the whole corporation

Q. How do we contact you?

A. Two options. You can call Ronix office in Moscow +7 (495) 918 33 14, info@ronix.ru. For service in English please call our office in Michigan 1-866-304-3265, 1-269-605-4904, help@efaru.com
