You would be surprised on how different and how similar people all over the world are to one another even their countries are thousands of miles away. If you live in the city, you are lucky they are not a thousand or so miles away; they might be just around the corner or a short train or cab ride away.
It has been said that if you can make it here you can make it anywhere and that still holds true. Even in a time when the economy is on shaky ground there are a lot of opportunities to make a name for yourself, find a career, or create a niche you can make a living off of. If there is one thing about living in an apartment for rent in the city will do is that it lets you get a glimpse of what success looks like.
This can, and most likely will, inspire you to achieve that and even surpass it. Enough people have come to the city with little to go on and have found success.
