If you ask ten skinny people at the gym the best way to lose weight, you'll likely get ten different answers. That's because everybody is different, and we all have our own values and habits. What works for somebody may not work for somebody else.

One person may absolutely love running on the treadmill, while somebody else may hate it. One person may be able to eat chicken breast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while somebody might not be able to stand it.

But when you look at the bottom line, there are really only two ways to lose weight. One is to exercise more, and the other is to eat less. In this article, you'll learn some of the most popular way to do these essential things.

Strength training works great for losing weight. When you increase your lean muscle mass, you increase your metabolism. And that's the metabolism that is going all day long, every day. So if you don't mind a few days a week of strength training, then work it into your schedule for some added benefits.

Cardio is also important. The two most popular forms of cardio are jogging and walking. Walking is a great way to exercise if you are just starting out. All you've got to do is do twenty minutes of brisk walking a couple times a week, and you'll be in good shape in no time. Just make sure you get a decent pair of shoes, otherwise you'll come up with an excuse not to do it.

Many people don't consider the calories in what they drink. If you drink plenty of juice or soda, you are getting a lot of extra calories. By drinking only water or tea, you'll be filling up without getting any calories.

Forget about adding sugar to anything. If you put sugar in your coffee, switch to a non calorie sweetener, or better yet, just drink your coffee black. Also, don't put any sugar on cereal, or oatmeal or anything else. Sugar is absolutely useless calories.

One way to really feel full and drop some weight is to eat food with plenty of fiber. This will really fill you up, and it doesn't have many calories. Beans, vegetables, and oatmeal are great sources of fiber. Also, if you don't like food with fiber, consider taking a fiber supplement.

You can pick and choose through these tips to find some that work for you. Just start doing them, stick with them, and watch how much they help you lose weight over time. Good luck.
